Racing Mount Pleasant + Isobel at Fine Line on 6/16
Racing Mount Pleasant doesn’t really sound like a band trying to fit neatly into one genre. Their music drifts between indie rock, orchestral folk, and slow-building post-rock, often turning quiet moments into massive emotional payoffs. Now, the seven-piece collective is bringing that energy to the Fine Line in Minneapolis on Tuesday, June 16.
Originally formed by a group of friends attending the University of Michigan, Racing Mount Pleasant has steadily gained attention for creating songs that feel cinematic without losing their intimacy. Their self-titled debut album moves through themes of growing up, distance, memory, and change, all wrapped in layered instrumentation that includes strings, brass, textured guitars, and aching vocal harmonies.
Joining them on stage is Isobel, a Michigan-based emerging indie artist with dreamy and intimate songwriting.
If you want tickets to the show, you can find them here! Doors open at 7:00pm.
