(((((ultraSOUND))))) Wourld Tour Live at the Armory
It’s been ten years since The Neighbourhood released Wiped Out! and one month since their newest album (((((ultraSOUND))))) became officially ours. To me, this definitely warrants a world tour, or in true NBHD fashion — Wourld Tour. The Los Angeles area alternative rock band consists of Jesse Rutherford, Jeremy Freedman, Zach Abels, Brandon Fired, and Mikey Margott. Their breakthrough started in 2013 with the single “Sweater Weather”, which appeared on their debut album I Love You. The track later saw renewed popularity on platforms like TikTok and eventually reached over a billion streams on Spotify. Since then, the band has released several albums including Wiped Out! in 2015 and Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones in 2020. In 2022, following the release of Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones The NBHD announced they were taking a hiatus and that drummer Brandon Fried would no longer be in the Neighbourhood.
Fast forward to 2025, the official Instagram account of The Neighbourhood posted a story, indicating their return to creating and releasing music. Additionally, they announced drummer Brandon Fried would return to the band. On October 23, 2025, the band released three songs, "OMG", "Lovebomb", and "Private", from their fifth studio album titled Ultrasound (stylized as(((((ultraSOUND)))))), released on November 14, 2025.
The Neighbourhood were a grunge-y, 2014 tumblr, music staple for me so you can imagine my excitement over not only a 10th anniversary version of Wiped Out!, but the release of Ultrasound AND a world a tour. Suddenly I’m 15 again, and The Neighbourhood is on repeat.
