The Maine Stopping at First Ave 4/9

The Maine bring their I Love You But… I Chose The Maine tour to Minneapolis on April 9, a run that functions less as a traditional album push and more as a retrospective of the band’s catalog and identity.

Recent setlists from early 2026 shows make it seem like the show will be a real open set, pulling from multiple eras rather than focusing on one release. Songs like “Sticky,” “Loved You a Little,” and “Bad Behavior” appear alongside older staples such as “Right Girl,” “Girls Do What They Want,” and “Black Butterflies and Déjà Vu,” giving the set a balance between newer material and long-standing fan favorites. This structure allows the band to move fluidly between different phases of their sound, rather than anchoring the performance to a single moment in their discography, and with a band that performs so well on stage, this should be fun!

That flexibility has become a defining feature of their live shows. Instead of building toward a predictable sequence of highlights, the set tends to unfold more organically, with shifts in tone and tempo that mirror the band’s evolution over time. The result is a performance that feels curated but not rigid, shaped as much by audience response as by the setlist itself.

With support from Grayscale, Nightly, and Friday Pilots Club, getting their early is going to be a good idea as theier sets will really loosen up the night too.
