The Frights are Ready When You Are at Fine Line 11/9
The Frights are gearing up to deliver a set that’s part surf-punk, part confessional indie rock, and all energy. Originating from San Diego in 2012, The Frights formed as a “just for fun” project among high-school friends. Over the years they’ve evolved, blending surf-punk riffs, garage rock urgency, and increasingly introspective lyrics. The core of the band today is: Mikey Carnevale (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Richard Dotson (bass/backing vocals), Marc Finn (drums) and Jordan Clark (lead guitar/backing vocals).
With quite the discography consisting of six albums and three EPs, they are no strangers to the alternative scene. The Frights latest album Ready When You Are was just released August, featuring a more punk vibe than their previous release in 2023 Gallows Humor. Expect the band to dive deep into their catalog, weaving older surf-punk favorites with newer, more introspective tracks. Their live shows are known for unpredictable energy one moment pure punk chaos, the next a raw, stripped-down confession.
Joining them on stage is Remo Drive, a local act coming out of Bloomington, Minnesota and a similarly punk influenced band. This show is perfect for lovers of a punk or alternative music sound. If you want tickets to the show, you can find them here!
