Thrice Hitting the Western Horizon At Fillmore

Post-hardcore’s best kept non-secret Thrice will be hitting Minneapolis’ Fillmore next week on November 11th while bringing their Horizons/West tour on the road with Modern Color and Downward.

Thrice released the followup to their previous album Horizons/East in spring this year, an electronics-laden somewhat return to heavier form than they have been up to lately. For a band that has done just about everything under the sun in their career (such as re-recording the sensational Artist in the Ambulance and somehow improving what was already a genre classic), one of their most impressive traits is their consistency - West is some of their best material they’ve ever put out. Dustin Kensrue’s voice sounds better than ever, aging like a fine port wine, and the band hasn’t missed a step straddling the line between technically impressive and memorable.
