The Broadway Show Suffs Is Coming to the Orpheum April 7th-April 12th

The Tony Award–winning musical Suffs is set to take center stage in Minneapolis this spring, bringing its powerful story of American suffragists to the historic Orpheum Theatre from April 7–12, 2026.

Created by Shaina Taub, the first woman to independently win Tony Awards for both Best Book and Best Score, Suffs shines a vibrant spotlight on the brilliant, flawed, and fiercely determined women who fought tirelessly for the right to vote. Blending humor, heart, and history, the musical dives deep into the movement’s triumphs and tensions, bringing names like Alice Paul, Ida B. Wells, and Carrie Chapman Catt to life through propulsive music and dynamic storytelling.

Following its acclaimed Broadway run, the first national tour is now marching across the country, earning praise for its emotionally stirring performances, sharp writing, and timely social resonance. Minneapolis audiences can expect a theatrical experience filled with unforgettable characters and a story that feels as urgent today as it did a century ago.

Performances will run throughout the week, with evening shows Tuesday through Friday, plus weekend matinee and evening options, giving Twin Cities theatergoers plenty of opportunities to witness this vivid retelling of the final decade of the suffrage fight.

Whether you're a history buff, a musical theatre lover, or simply someone who loves a story about people who dared to change the world, Suffs sounds like a must-see event of the spring. Buy your tickets here!
