Minneapolis Is About to get Corny
Get ready for a corny good time because the Tony Award–winning musical Shucked is coming to Minneapolis! From January 6–11, 2026, the Orpheum Theatre will light up with this laugh-out-loud Broadway sensation that’s equal parts clever and heartfelt.
The story takes us to quirky Cob County, where corn isn’t just a crop—it’s a way of life. When the town’s beloved corn crop suddenly dies, Maizy sets out to save her community, only to cross paths with Gordy, a smooth-talking con artist posing as a podiatrist. What follows is a hilarious, toe-tapping adventure packed with unexpected twists, sharp one-liners, and an irresistible country-pop score by Grammy winners Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. Written by Robert Horn and directed by Jack O’Brien, Shucked serves up big laughs and plenty of heart, making it the perfect winter escape for families, date nights, and anyone in need of a feel-good night at the theater.
Performances run Tuesday through Sunday, featuring a stellar cast led by Danielle Wade as Maizy and Quinn VanAntwerp as Gordy. Tickets are available now here! Don’t miss your chance to see why Shucked has audiences nationwide grinning from ear to ear.
