The Runarounds Minivan Tour Comes to First Ave 2/6

Ready for a night that feels like your best summer memories onto a stage? The Runarounds are rolling into First Avenue as part of their 2026 Minivan Tour. After a sold-out fall 2025 run and streaming numbers climbing into the millions, this five-piece alt-rock force is back by popular demand and Minneapolis is in for a treat. 

Known for turning every stage into a wild, full heart show, The Runarounds are made up of Axel Ellis (guitar/vocals), William Lipton (guitar/vocals), and Zende Murdock (drums, )Jesse Golliher (bass/vocals), Jeremy Yun (lead guitar). What began as a weekly residency at a beach bar in Wilmington, North Carolina grew into a relentless touring machine that has played college campuses, festivals, and legendary rooms like the Troubadour in Los Angeles — all while building a reputation for loud riffs, raucous energy, and anthems of youth, escape, and belonging. 

These days, their reach goes beyond the stage. The band’s story and music are being introduced to a global audience through their Amazon Prime Video series The Runarounds, where fans get a coming-of-age story about a band of recent high school graduates chasing their dreams after graduation, ‘writing love songs that change the world.’ The show’s soundtrack, filled with the group’s original material recorded live, reinforces the authenticity of the band’s voice and energy blending both fiction and real life. I for one am excited to see how a real life band, turned show, out back on tour, takes off and absolutely recommend the show as a teaser to their forthcoming show. 

Their sound, equal parts frenetic, heartfelt, and unfiltered was captured on The Runarounds Live at USC, produced by Talking Heads’ Jerry Harrison and a testament to the band’s live connectivity and energy. If their live concert delivers anything like the show, it’ll be unapologetically fun.
