Blue Man Group Will Take on Minneapolis at the State Theater 2/13-2/15

Blue Man Group is bringing its signature blend of percussive music, visual spectacle, and offbeat humor to Minneapolis for a three‑day run at the historic State Theatre from February 13–15. Known for their electric blue personas and wordless, wildly expressive performances, the trio transforms everyday objects into instruments and turns audiences into participants, creating an experience that feels part concert, part comedy, and part art installation.

The Blue Man Group’s trio is more of a character than three specific individuals. The trio has been portrayed by dozens of performers worldwide since the group’s founding in 1987, with many members staying for years as they rotate through tours and resident productions. Because the company doesn’t publish cast lists or tenure details, audiences experience the Blue Men as a unified trio rather than as identifiable actors. Although the trio is ever-changing, there is no doubt you will be in awe by their talent.

The State Theatre’s ornate architecture and warm acoustics make it an ideal backdrop for the group’s vibrant, high‑energy world, and the Minneapolis shows promise plenty of drumming, unexpected visual effects, and playful interaction that keep the performance unpredictable and fun for all ages.
