Hotline TNT Brings ‘Raspberry Moon’ to Underground Music Venue

Hotline TNT is coming to Minneapolis Underground Music Venue on September 14th and their celebrating their new album Raspberry Moon that was released in June 2025. New York City based rock band came together in 2018, although their front man Will Anderson is not new to the music scene. Prior to Hotline TNT, Anderson was a member of a handful of smaller indie rock bands such as Happy Diving, Crazy Bugs, as well as Vancouver based duo Weed. While the band's members have seen some rotations throughout the years, Anderson stated that the meaning behind the bands name will forever be a secret between him and the original band members.

Between 2018-2019, Hotline TNT released a series of EPs: Fireman's Carry, Go Around Me, and Cool if I Crash. Hotline TNT had plans to go on their first tour as an opener for Snail Mail but had to cancel due to the Pandemic. Instead, Anderson worked on and released the band's debut studio album, Nineteen in Love. The album was recorded completely on the platform Garage Band and without any guitar amps or drum sets. Originally, the album was released on YouTube as a long single video in 2021 in protest of the damage that streaming services are causing to the music industry. This statement alone helped build the fanbase of Hotline TNT. More recently, in August of 2025, Hotline TNT joined a handful of other bands and left the popular streaming service Spotify due to its detrimental impact on the music industry and its lack of support for artists.

Hotline TNT's music is mainly written by Will Anderson and formed around topics surrounding Anderson's interpersonal relationships, whether those are romantic or platonic. Anderson describes his band as "anti-gear" as they don't use guitar pedals and place very little emphasis on what guitar amps used. While Hotline TNT has continuously gone against the grain, they've collected a dedicated foundation of a fanbase. Take this as your sign to go check out their show on September 14th at Underground Music Venue because after seeing their show at Turf Club in St. Paul in October of 2024, I just KNOW this is going to be a good show.

Kicking off the show is Combat Naps and tickets are still available and can be purchased here. Doors for this show open at 7:00pm and it's 18+. See you there!
