Foster The People Returns to Minneapolis on September 28th at the Armory

Foster the People will bring their Good Mourning Sunshine Tour to The Armory in Minneapolis on September 28th, with indie favorite Goth Babe opening the show. Goth Babe, the nomadic singer-songwriter project of Griffin Washburn, is no stranger to Twin Cities audiences, having last appeared in the area as support for Quinn XCII during a 2025 stop.

Formed in Los Angeles in 2009 by lead singer Mark Foster, Foster the People rose to prominence with their blend of indie pop and alternative rock. The band's lineup has included Mark Foster alongside Jacob Fink, Mark Pontius, Isom Innis, and Sean Cimino, and they remain one of the most recognizable acts to emerge from the indie-pop boom of the early 2010s.

The group is still best known for its breakthrough 2011 hit "Pumped Up Kicks," a song that helped launch Foster the People into the mainstream and introduced millions of listeners to their infectious sound. Fans can expect a mix of classic favorites and newer material when the band takes the stage at The Armory for what promises to be one of the fall's biggest indie-rock shows.
