Eidola and Co. Bring Prog Rock to Fine Line 3/25

Post-hardcore band Eidola are making a stop in Minneapolis, bringing their Eviscerate // Mend tour to the Fine Line Music Cafe. They’re joined by Astronoid and Nerv, which makes for a pretty solid lineup if you’re into the heavier, more progressive side of post-hardcore.

Eidola have always been one of those bands that mix a lot of different sounds together. There are the big melodic vocals, technical guitar parts, and moments where everything suddenly shifts into something heavier. Songs like Mutual Fear and Counterfeit Shrines are good examples of that balance, and they tend to hit even harder live when the whole room is singing along. Their newest albums, the namesake of the tour, also show off the dual sides of the band in heavy moments, and soft escapes from it all.

The Fine Line Music Cafe should be a great space for a show like this too. It’s a smaller room compared to some venues in the city, which usually makes these kinds of bands feel a lot more intense. If you’re into technical post-hardcore with big hooks and some heavier moments mixed in, this one should be a fun night.
