Get ready for a night of metal marveling, Dethklok and Amon Amarth are joining epic forces to bring Amonklok to Armory April 24th!

When I saw this dynamic duo on one tour together, I flipped. Having seen Amon Amarth every time they have been to town the last few decades, they must NEVER be missed. These Swedish Norse gods of metal melt perfectly into our icy state. Riffs, fast fingers, a voice of a titan. There is nothing left to want from a metal band. I’m not kidding. If you have not seen Amon Amarth live, I implore you to make the 24th the night. You will not be disappointed.

Dethklok lyrics will be seen written on my soul when my body burns away. Having been a fan of Metalocalypse show upon launch, The Dethalbum is built into my bones. Its impossible to pick a favorite song of theirs’, but it may be a triple tie between “Awaken,” “Briefcase Full Of Guts,” and “Murmaider.” Catchy and badass, they are the culmination of masterful layering of instruments with sarcasm crossed and humor dotted. I remember the first time seeing them in 2008 at First Ave like it was yesterday.

Doors are at 5:30pm, music starting at 7:00pm for this Friday night show with special guest Castle Rat opening up the night.
