Blondshell Live Fine Line Music Cafe
Sabrina Mae Teitelbaum, better known as Blondshell, is an American indie-rock artist currently based in Los Angeles, California. Teitelbaum is not a stranger to the music industry; with an early career in pop under the name BAUM, she released her new alias and project Blondshell in 2022 with the release of the single "Olympus”. Blondshell is set to make an appearance at Minneapolis’s Fine Line Music Cafe on June 11th, 2025 on her “If You Asked for a Tour” tour which kicked off May 2nd, 2025. Her current tour follows the release of Blondshell’s junior album, If You Asked for a Picture released just this year. The twelve song album draws inspiration from the 1986 poem by the American writer Mary Oliver, titled “Dogfish.” In the poem, Oliver grapples with the idea of telling one’s own story: how much to share, how much to keep for oneself. These are questions Teitelbaum works to answer in her new album. If You Asked for a Picture’s acoustic opener “Thumbtack” is a bittersweet gut-punch of self-reckoning amid an uneasy relationship. “Thumbtack” paints a picture of the feeling of self discovery while also coming to terms with existing in relationships that no longer suite you and not fully understanding why. Coming face to face with these complex narratives and indescribable feelings has become a trademark for Blondshell as first seen in her 2023 debut self titled album.
Since the launch of Blondshell, accolades accrued — from late-night TV performances, to landing on Obama’s Best Songs of 2023 list — Teitelbaum spent two years on the road. She played 150+ shows in support of her debut, including major festivals and a tour with Liz Phair on top of her own sold-out headline dates. If You Asked For A Picture feels open and unfinished in the best way — a no-skips second album that dives into the mess of figuring yourself out, without pretending to have all the answers. One of my most highly anticipated shows of the year.
While theres a couple different openers appearing at different dates throughout the tour, opening for the Minneapolis show is Meg Elsier. Elsier is an indie-rock singer, songwriter, and visual artist based in Nashville and is adding a new and exciting voice in the indie-rock industry with the release of her debut single, “ifshitfuq” in 2023 followed by her debut album spittake released in 2024.
Tickets for this show are currently sold out.
