Turnover Live at the Fillmore 5/27
All the way from Virginia Beach, VA - Turnover is hitting the Fillmore stage on May 27th, 2025 while on the road for their current tour, 10 years of Peripheral Vision. This tour is an ode to the bands 2015 album release Peripheral Vision and in celebration of the 10 year anniversary deluxe release of the beloved and well known album. Opening for Turnover is rock band Balance & Composure and alternative band Horse Jumper of Love.
Originally part of the pop-punk scene, Turnover made a major shift in 2015 with their breakthrough album Peripheral Vision. That record completely changed their sound—and their trajectory and landed them on the top 5 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. Instead of fast riffs and angsty lyrics, they leaned into mellow, reverb-soaked guitars and introspective feelings. Tracks like “New Scream” and “Dizzy on the Comedown” helped define a whole new wave of indie punk. To follow it up, Turnover release their 2017 album Good Nature which racked up roughly 40 million plays on spotify alone. Getz, the lead singer of Turnover, compared the two albums as a question and answer duo. He explained that Peripheral Vision was constructed by the feelings of being alienated while challenging the concepts and beliefs the singer grew up with. He stated that the album asks a lot of questions and Good Nature follows it up by answering those questions in a way.
Turnover is a band that I’ve loved for a really long time and I feel like their music as been the perfect narration as I grow up and feel like I’m experiencing the world for the first time. Definitely a highly anticipated show and one I suggest you check out. Tickets for this show are still available and can be purchased here.
