Slow Pulp is playing First Avenue on Friday, November 20, and I am quite excited to go see one of my favorite all-time bands!
With Her New Knife opening, this will be such a fun show, filled with some great atmospheric vibes (you’ve likely heard their song Vitamin Beauty). Slow Pulp’s newest album Melodie came out towards the end of September, and so far Better Man, Spill, and Not for Nothing are my favorites, but I am hopeful to hear a lot of their older stuff as well since this will be my first time finally getting to see them live. What’s a lot of fun as well is that the band used to be split between Madison and Minneapolis, so it’s a bit of a homecoming even though they’re Chicago-based now- hopefully they end up playing here more and more! If you’re looking for a shoegaze indie rock concert, this show will be it for sure. Hope to see you there!
Doors are at 7, the show starts at 8, and you can grab tickets here!
