Minnesota Opera: Pagliacci Being Performed with Multiple Dates!

Pagliacci is one of the most classic operas out there, and even if you don’t think you know it, you more than likely do- the famous Pagliacci clown look with the balls down the middle of the shirt, and minimal makeup show off best, and from this show!

The show itself is a lovers’ dispute at its core, but it’s a lot more than that underneath the surface. Almost a show within a show, we get to see Canio and the rest of the acting troupe, but suddenly things go awry with infidelity being revealed, and a bitter betrayal stirring the pot. While watching the show, the line between the show itself, and reality start to tangle together, making the viewer uncertain of what’s truly happening.
