Of Monsters and Men Return to St. Paul For Two Nights at the Palace Theater

Icelandic indie favorites Of Monsters and Men are heading back to the Twin Cities this fall for not one, but two nights at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul as part of their Mouse Parade Tour. The first show on Friday, November 7 is already sold out, but a second night on Saturday, November 8th has just been added, good news for anyone who missed out the first time around. Opening both nights is fellow Icelandic artist Árný Margrét, whose gentle, heartfelt songs are a perfect match for the band’s dreamy soundscapes.

The group is touring behind their brand-new album All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade, which dropped on October 17th. It’s their first full-length release since 2019’s Fever Dream, and it finds the band diving deeper into themes of love, loss, and the strange beauty that lives between them. Fans can expect that signature Of Monsters and Men mix of soaring choruses, emotional storytelling, and the kind of big, cinematic energy that made them household names with “Little Talks.”

The Palace Theatre feels like an ideal home for this tour — intimate enough for quiet, tender moments, yet spacious enough for the band’s huge, layered sound to completely surround you. Recent setlists from the tour have blended new songs with older favorites, so longtime fans should get a bit of everything.

Árný Margrét opens the evening with her stripped-down, soulful folk songs — a beautiful contrast to the sweeping power of Of Monsters and Men’s set. If you can, show up early and catch her performance; it sets the perfect tone for the night.

Tickets for the November 7 show are gone, but seats for November 8 are still available through the Palace Theatre box office and official ticket outlets. If you love heartfelt indie music, big singalongs, and that magical Icelandic atmosphere, this is a weekend you won’t want to miss.

If you want tickets to the show, you can find them here!
