Mac DeMarco Coming to First Ave May 6

Mac DeMarco will bring his current tour to Minneapolis on May 6 at First Avenue, with doors at 6 p.m. and the show starting at 7 p.m. Support for the night comes from Mock Media.

His live sets typically pull from across his catalog, including songs like Salad Days and Chamber of Reflection, along with some newer material. Rather than focusing on a single release, the performances tend to show off a lot of his work rather than just recent, or just old songs.

The shows are known for being less structured than a traditional set, kind of just going with the flow of the night. Some shows have been pushing the two hour mark (so be ready!), and have a lot of exposition in between songs, but hey, that’s the fun part!
