The Time for Kilby Block Party 2026 is Approaching

With this year being 7 years since the first block party, independent music festival Kilby Block Party dropped their 2026 festival lineup and let me tell you — it does not disappoint. The music festival began in 2019 as a literal block party which celebrated Salt Lake City’s longest-running, all-ages venue Kilby Court (which will have been running for 27 years in 2026). It started off as a one-day event that took place on a closed-off street near Kilby Court, featuring a lineup that reflected the venue's legacy of supporting indie and alternative music. Since then, KBP proudly obtained the title of the largest indie music festival to ever happen in Salt Lake City and they average about 25k attendees per festival day. The killer lineup of headliners includes Lorde, The XX, and Turnstile in addition to a collection of other bands such as The Last Dinner Party, Hayley Williams, Lucy Dacus, Japanese Breakfast, and sooo many others (special shout out for MN local band, Dad Bod).

Not only is this lineup unmatched for all indie/alternative music fans, but Kilby Block Party is donating a portion of proceeds to three Utah local nonprofits, so not only are you supporting live music, but you’re supporting the surrounding community:

Equality Utah who lead efforts for LGBTQ equality at both the state and local levels by sponsoring pro-LGBTQ legislation, opposing harmful bills, amending existing laws, lobbying elected officials, building coalitions, and empowering individuals and organizations to engage in the legislative process.

Heal Utah who utilizes advance community-based solutions and public policy advocacy to address the biggest environmental threats in the state of Utah.

& Spy Hop who offers hands-on project-based programming in Salt Lake City and across the state of Utah for students 9-19 of all skill levels and aspirations. They meet young people where they are in their lives and invite them to tell their stories through film, music, audio and design. Their model combines youth development, arts education, and career preparation to empower young people to gain the skills they need to be successful.

This year’s lineup graphic is designed by Salt Lake City Utah artist Chloe Monson — who has been designing their lineup graphic since the 2022 festival. Tier one ticket prices are available now through November 26th and can be purchased here. The festival will run from Friday, May 15 2026 - Sunday, May 17 2026 at Utah State Fairpark.
