Kacey Musgraves Returns to Minneapolis With a Little More Country & Rhinsteones
There are few artists I’ve followed as closely as Kacey Musgraves. I’ve seen her on nearly every tour, watched her sound evolve from the clever, sharp-edged country of Same Trailer Different Park to the dreamy Golden Hour and beyond. So, naturally, I’m pretty excited to welcome her back to Minneapolis.
Musgraves brings her Middle of Nowhere Tour to Target Center on Tuesday, September 22, with special guest Carter Faith.
The tour arrives behind Musgraves’ sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere, which finds the eight-time Grammy winner embracing a more distinctly country sound. The album pulls from traditional country, Western swing, bluegrass, and other roots-oriented influences, while still carrying the wit, warmth, and slightly left-of-center perspective that have made Musgraves one of country music’s most compelling voices.
For longtime fans, this feels a little like coming home. But this isn't Kacey simply looking backward, she's taking the sounds that first made us fall in love with her and giving them a fresh, unmistakably Kacey spin with songs like, ‘Rhinestoned,’ and ‘Dryspell.’
And after following her through so many different eras, I can't wait to see what this one looks like live.
