Jazz Fans, Don’t Miss Hiromi Coming to Dakota on October 12th!

Jazz whirlwind Hiromi is scheduled to come to Minneapolis on October 12th, bringing along drummer Simon Phillips (known for working with Judas Priest, Tears for Fears, Toto, and The Who) and bassist James Genus (known for working with Herbie Hancock, Roy Haynes, Chick Corea, and Daft Punk) to make an exciting trio concert at the Dakota dining and concert venue.

You may know Hiromi from a multitude of works, such as the animated film Blue Giant, the Tokyo Olympics, or even the linked NPR: Tiny Desk video that went viral- but if you don’t know them, they are an absolutely incredible musician with a wide variety of skills, a force to be reckoned with on stage, and one who draws you in immediately.

Along with the two incredible musicians backing her at this show, this is set up to be an absolutely incredible show at a small and intimate venue that’s sure to be a wonderful time. I’ve been waiting for a jazz show just like this, and I’m quite excited to go!

There are two time slots, at 6:30 and 9:00 p.m., so be sure to plan accordingly
