Hawthorne Heights Bringing Emo to First Ave on 3/9

Ohio emo band Hawthorne Heights are coming through Minneapolis, and yeah, this is one of those shows where you already know people are gonna be yelling every word. It’s very much that mid-2000s emo energy- a little messy, a little nostalgic, and a crowd that’s fully in it the whole time.

This tour is the 20th anniversary tour for “If Only You Were Lonely, but they’ve been mixing in newer stuff with the older songs everyone loves to death, so it’s not just a straight throwback set. But let’s be real, when “This is Who We Are” starts, that’s gonna be the moment. Those songs still hit live in a way that doesn’t really feel dated, more like everyone just picks up where they left off. I’m super excited to scream “Saying Sorry” personally.

Openers letlive. and Creeper should be a ton of fun as well, and it should feel like a fun pop punk emo set the whole night.

You can grab tickets here, and I’d do so soon!
