The Driver Era Bringing Obsession Tour to the Armory 5/31

The Driver Era, made up of brothers Rocky and Ross Lynch, are on the road with their Obsession tour, monikered after their newest album Obsession. This alternative rock band started in 2018 when the band R5’s (a band formerly made up of various family members) handles on social media changed to The Driver Era and announced the new name and the brothers being the sole members of the band. They then dropped their single “Preacher Man” shortly after the announcement.

If you are unfamiliar, the lead singer Ross Lynch gained his early fame on Disney Channel starring as Austin Moon in Austin & Ally. He later starred in the biopic My Friend Dahmer in 2017.

The newly named band continued to release single after single, eventually releasing their first album tilted X in 2019. The band released two more studio albums, one in 2021 and one in 2022, titled Girlfriend and Summer Mixtape. This band is a perfect show for those of you that are fans of the bands ROLE MODEL, Wallows, and Half Alive.
