Body High Tour Live With FKA Twigs
FKA Twigs (Tahliah Debrett Barnett) is bringing the Body High Tour to the Armory in Minneapolis on March 27th, 2026. FKA Twigs is an english singer, song writer, actor, and dancer with her first studio album LP1 being released in 2014. She started her music career under the name “Twigs” as a tribute to the way her joints crack (allegedly) and decided to add the “FKA” shortly after. Her first album is the perfect ode to the coming-of-age and “self hatred” period young individuals endure and perfectly describes the weight of living during those years. Following the release of LP1 and after a well earned spot on the top of numerous end of year critics list, she took a four year hiatus before returning with her second studio album Magdalene in 2019. In a press releases prior to the release of Magdalene, FKA Twigs wrote, “I never thought heartbreak could be so all-encompassing. I never thought that my body could stop working to the point that I couldn't express myself physically in the ways that I have always loved and found so much solace. I have always practiced my way into being the best I could be, but I couldn't do that this time, I was left with no option but to tear every process down”. She mentioned how the album allowed her the space to find compassion when she was the most “ungraceful, confused and fractured”.
Leading up to her current tour was the release of Eusexua and Eusexua Afterglow released in 2025. Eusexua marks her third studio album released nearly 5 years after the release of Magdalene and perfectly encapsulates self discovery and deep exploration into movement and existence. She described the album as “bearing the spirit of techno” but the album itself is not a part of the techno genre. The term “Eusexua” comes from FKA Twigs description of a, "sensation of being so euphoric that one could transcend human form" as she described in an interview with British Vogue in 2024. Her current tour “Body High” is the result of a year long R&D journey to explore new ways of moving and new ways of portraying performance. Body High is an ode to her and the community shes built around herself since her start in 2012. She mentioned never adhereing to tradition within the music industry and Body High is the perfect depiction of that. As stated by FKA Twigs on instagram, this tour is the making of 20 years of discovery and practice and “like nothing you have ever seen before”.
