Jensen McRae has her Biggest Headline Show at Varsity Theater
On Friday night at the Varsity Theater, Jensen McRae performed her biggest headline show in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jensen McRae is a singer-songwriter from Santa Monica, California, who has been writing her own music for a few years now. She began to gain popularity back in 2022 when she released her song, My Ego Dies At The End which ended up going viral. She then released her sophomore album called I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, and she is performing it on her Praying for Your Downfall tour.
Jensen started her set with her song, called The Rearranger, a beautiful ballad that the crowd loved as a start. She then sang a mixture of songs from her first and second albums, after which, she did a cover of Breakeven by The Script, which was such a fun surprise.
Before Jensen took the stage, her opener, Lauren Juzang, performed. She had such a beautiful, unique voice. Lauren has more of an R&B style to her pop music and has such a fun stage presence. If you’re looking for a new artist to support, you should definitely give her a listen.
Jensen kept the crowd on their toes by doing another cover. This time she sang Guilty As Sin by Taylor Swift, which, of course, everyone loved. Jensen has such a beautiful voice that is so versatile and sounds amazing singing so many different kinds of genres. One thing I loved watching during her performance as well was her band. You could really tell that they are all very passionate about the music and loving every second of it.
Jensen ended the show with her song Massachusetts, which is on her sophomore album. However, this song has had a lot of excitement leading up to its release because a couple of years ago, she did a cover of it on TikTok, asking her followers what she should title it. Everyone in the comments was saying to release the song. She finally did, as part of her sophomore album, and it has been a huge hit.
I would highly recommend snagging tickets to see her show on this tour while you still can! Go listen to Jensen’s beautiful voice for yourself and support a new artist. You can still buy tickets for this tour here!
