Logic and G-Eazy Bring The Endless Summer Tour Back to Minnesota

On Friday, September 18, Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee became a meeting point for two eras of hip hop as Logic and G-Eazy brought their Endless Summer Tour Part II to Minnesota. Ten years after the two rappers first shared a co headlining tour, the artists reunited for another run that blends nostalgia with their more recent music.

During “Indica Badu,” Logic interacted with the crowd by throwing T-shirts into the audience. Moments like this helped break up the heavier rap focused portions of the set and gave the performance a more relaxed feeling. It also showed another side of Logic as a live performer.

His set wasn't simply one long sequence of songs. There were moments built around audience interaction, nostalgia, humor and the celebration of his catalog.

Logic's set moved through multiple projects, giving longtime fans plenty to recognize. He even brought one fan on stage to rap one song! He would tell us how much he missed his fans and how much he appreciates all of his fans for coming out after 3 years of not touring and tell us stories about this kids after he would rap!

G-Eazy brought a different energy to the second half of the night. His music has long occupied a space between hip hop, pop and nightlife culture, giving the show a noticeable change in atmosphere.

That history was impossible to ignore throughout the Minnesota stop. For fans who discovered either artist during the 2010s, seeing both rappers share the same stage again offered a strong dose of nostalgia while still presenting the artists as they are today.

This wasn't simply two rappers touring together again. It was a reunion between artists whose music became deeply connected to the culture of the 2010s while both continued developing their own sounds.

Logic's performance was built around rapid fire verses, technical delivery and songs that often carry a more introspective tone. G Eazy's music has traditionally leaned more toward atmosphere, melody, swagger and the nightlife side of hiphop.

Instead of competing with one another, those differences gave the concert its variety. The crowd moved between two distinct sounds while still remaining within the same broader era of hip hop.
